From San Diego, we set the GPS to the Grand Canyon.
We passed spectacular vermilion cliffs along the way.
We set up our camp, had dinner and just enough time to see the sun set on the canyon.
It was even grander in the morning.
We camped at the North Rim and it was fantastic because it isn't as popular or crowded as the South Rim. We also enjoyed the North Rim campsite because it's just steps from the canyon, it's dark and quiet, and the sites are huge with plenty of space. We LOVED this stop.
I love love love the Grand Canyon! It's impressive in pictures, but oh so much more impressive in person!
ReplyDeleteEven when you're standing there looking at it, it's still unbelievable. It was one of my favorite places!
DeleteWhat amazingly gorgeous pictures! We flew over the GC once and so now Nik claims we don't need to go there because I've seen it. To which I reply, "You've seen it in person so that's no fair!" And now I'm going to show him these pictures and tell him that we do need to go! Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laura! Yes, you definitely need to go. It's too amazing for words!
